    Look at restraint and physical handling jobs. Rehabilitation counselors help those with mental or physical disabilities by working with them to adjust to their limitations. I have seen statistics on the average salary and it isn't exactly terrible. Many counselors approach their work holistically, using a “wellness” model (as opposed to an “illness” one) which highlights and encourages client’s strengths. The ones that are dominant in the psychiatric and psychological literature concern validity and reliability of diagnostic criteria.
